Audio from CDs, audiotapes and LPs can easily be
digitized in the Media Center. Users can then edit the
digital edition using available audio editing software and
output the software to a desired media format.
It is the responsibility of the
user who digitizes audio to consider the issue of copyright
and proceed appropriately.
Digital Media Services supports
video digitization and editing. Formats that can be
digitized include VHS, Mini-DV/DVC and DVD. Digital video
can be edited and output to a number of different formats.
In the Media Center Area (220
of the Trible Library), the following places are available
for study:
Only in the Trible Library can
you print either black & white or color. After
choosing to print, go to the Media Center desk, swipe your
card and release your print job. If you have any
questions during the printing process, see the Media Center
staff.
The Editing Station rooms are rooms to produce, view,
or listen to materials. These rooms are available to any
current CNU student, faculty, staff or alumni. Arrangements for use of the
production/performance stations can be made with the Media
Center staff. Each Editing Suite computer has
different applications available to the user. For more information, please see our
editing station
guidelines & editing station
computing applications.
In
addition to the Editing Suites, use our 8 thin clients
and 2 rich clients
to produce documents and web browse.
Group activities and assignments are an integral part of
many courses. Students often have to scramble to find a room
equipped with the technologies that allow them to view or
listen to multimedia in a private group setting.
In order to meet the growing multimedia needs of student
groups, the Trible Library Media Center has created a new,
private group viewing room. The group viewing
room, which accommodates between 2-9 students, has a 55"
plasma and a DVD player.
