The Places

Three Cups of Tea
by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin

Description, history, and maps - what is Pakistan really like?

book jacket

The CIA World Factbook has lots of geographic and demographic information.
Notice the Factbook's country map of Pakistan with the mountain K2 clearly indicated.

The official tourism site for the country of Pakistan was developed by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation last year. There are many pictures of places and events, including the mountain K2 and the town of Skardu.

There are several books in the Trible Library collection about the history of Pakistan - including an e-book called the "Historical Dictionary of Pakistan" from NetLibrary.

Using this Google map, see that the town of Korphe, Pakistan, is marked with the letter A below. Zoom in or out using the arrows in upper left corner, and click "Ter" in the upper right hand corner to see the mountainous terrain in the region.
