Construction Update

The scaffolding has been removed from the library tower. The outside of the library continues to be covered with brick.  A large green wall has been constructed to make room for equipment that is needed to remove a section of the roof as the new and current library buildings begin to be joined together.
The pictures below are of the view from a new second floor reading room overlooking the traffic circle at Shoe Lane, and of what will be the main rotunda.

The Library is Moving

The Paul and Rosemary Trible Library will be moving this summer to a temporary home. Staff and selected services and collections will move into the old Student Union after it is vacated in July. We will remain there until construction on the new library is complete. This will help speed up construction and reduce disruptions due to construction and renovation (such as removing part of the roof) of the existing space.

The books will remain in the old library and that part of the library will be open for limited hours during the day. Check back for continuing updates. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Sellen, University Librarian at 594-7130 or email mary.sellen@cnu.edu.
